A European and International vision is at the very heart
of the curriculum.
Students' experience is developed through:

Every
subject area

and exchanges programme

-
European Citizenship Award
The
European Citizenship Award
This recognises each student's
participation in the European dimension of school life and studies. The programme,
supported by the European Commission, is followed by other schools in the European Union.
The certificate is awarded at pass, merit
or distinction level at the end of Year 11.
Visits and
Exchanges
Students participate in an extensive
programme, developing respect for other cultures through personal contacts and
experiences.
Year 7 students take part in a residential
study visit to Belgium. From Year 8 onwards foreign visits are usually on a home-to-home
basis.
The Frankfurt exchange in Year 10 gives
students an 8-week experience in a German School.
International
Baccalaureate
The philosophy of the IB underpins the
schools ethos.
Whilst not all students follow the IB
Diploma course in the sixth form, the commitment of the programme to
internationalism and to making the world a better place is central to
the school’s mission.
