Lessons from Auschwitz

We were fortunate to be able to send some students and a member of staff to take part in the Lessons from Auschwitz (LFA) Project. They first visited Oswiecim, the site of a synagogue and then Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz 2 Birkenau where they ended the day with a ceremony lighting candles for the victims. Mrs Prince said “Before Auschwitz I had never been in a place where I was so close to inhumanity and humanity at the same time. It is vital the victims are not forgotten so such atrocities never happen again. However, we must also never forget the heroes who risked everything to protect the persecuted. This was a profound and life changing visit that moved me immensely.”

We are also looking forward to welcoming Leslie Kleinman to the Anglo on 5th July 2018. Leslie is a holocaust survivor and will be sharing his testimony with the students, staff and local community.
