President of YouGov visits school to speak to sixth form students

President of YouGov Peter Kellner visited the school to speak to sixth form students on a number of  topics including compulsory voting, changing the electoral system, how to reform politics, state funding of parties and beyond!

Mr Newton, Director of Sixth Form said “This event was organised via the Speakers for Schools Programme, and we particularly wanted Peter to speak as he has so many interesting views on Politics. In an election year, with a significant number of first time voters in our school, who co-incidentally have the lowest turnout record by age group, we felt it was important to engage our students in thought provoking debate on the key political issues that will decide the next election.”
