Sixth form students took part in a Career speed dating event

Sixth form students took part in a Career speed dating event as part of the careers guidance and education programme, this gives our students a unique opportunity to access information on a wide range of careers – journalism, banking, pharmacy, engineering, teaching – to name a handful. Over 30 external professionals came in to school to talk about her/his job and career path.

Mrs Bell , Enterprise Education Co-ordinator said “A recent survey by the NCS found that 33% of teenagers expect to follow the same career as their parents because this is what they are familiar with. This event is an ideal opportunity for our students to explore different careers, consider the wide range of options available to them and maybe widen their scope of thinking.”
