Language Hub

We are proud to announce that Anglo European School has been selected as a lead language hub by the National Consortium for Languages Education (NCLE).

The NCLE is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by the Institute of Education at University College London.

This is a unique and exciting programme and, as one of only 25 hubs in the country, Anglo joins a select network supporting high quality language education in England.

Having been recognised by the NCLE for the standard of our language teaching, under the Language Hub initiative, Anglo will take the lead in promoting language studies amongst students and deliver training to up to 7 partner schools to improve standards of language teaching and learning across the country.

The aims for this project are to:

  • encourage high quality language teaching in schools
  • increase languages uptake at GCSE
  • support levelling up opportunities for disadvantaged pupils
  • better recognise and support the rich diversity of languages

This new collaboration with University College London, the Goethe-Institut and the British Council promises remarkable language opportunities for our students and our wider community.
